New Visions for Public Schools, a support organization in partnership with the NYC Department of Education, works with over seventy New York City public schools to provide additional school-wide support. With support ranging from instructional resources to professional development, New Visions teachers are empowered to engage students in a highly personalized, rigorous, and authentic learning experience, preparing them for high school graduation and future academic success.

New Visions partner public schools across New York City are currently seeking teachers to begin teaching in September 2009. Educators with certification in core secondary subjects including math, science, English, social studies, and Spanish as well as teachers specializing in special education and ESL are encouraged to apply.

Salary and Benefits
All candidates who teach in New Visions partner schools will be employees of the NYC Department of Education and will receive:
• A competitive salary starting at $46K, depending on experience

Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, hold valid New York State certification (or reciprocal out-of-state certification), and pass a criminal background check.
