ESL Specialist Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor, Miami University (Ohio)

ESL specialists, Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor, to teach English for International Students to first-year undergraduate and some graduate students.  Two full-time appointments August 2009-May 2010.  Possibility of reappointment based on successful teaching performance and available funding.  Faculty will have an opportunity next year to work with the English Department’s Director of Composition and other faculty members in shaping English for International Students coursework to meet the needs of our growing international student population.  Requirements are coursework and experience in teaching English as a second language.  Ph.D. is required for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor; MA is required for appointment as Instructor.  Send a letter of application, curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching excellence, and contact information for three references to Kerry Powell, Chair; Department of English; Miami University; Oxford OH 45056 USA.
