Canisius College seeks ESL instructors for adjunct teaching positions in Fall 2009.

Qualifications: Masters degree required, Ph.D. preferred in TESOL; background in testing and placement; experience teaching ESL courses at a college level focusing on grammar, pronunciation, writing, reading, listening comprehension, communication, study skills and culture to international students with low to high intermediate language skill. Ideal applicant will have knowledge of current language teaching theory and practice; familiarity with curriculum development and technology in the classroom. Applicant must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to assist international students with transitions to American culture as well as the ability to collaborate with administrators and faculty in other departments.
