Assessment Coordinator, Bilingual ED/ESL – Austin, Texas

Salary: $53,118+ exp., 230 days

·Communicate to central office staff, campus staff, and administration information regarding testing expectations, procedures, timelines, etc.
Provide supervision and guidance to campus and bilingual ed personnel regarding testing issues
Attend TEA mandated trainings for LEP assessments and provide updates to district and campus personnel
Schedule, organize and provide trainings for district and campus personnel on the topics as follows: LAT accommodations and test administration, LPAC Decision-Making Process, TELPAS-TOP
Work with LPACs on appropriate language of testing and exemption decisions
Monitor completion of the online TOP qualifications
Monitor testing situations for RPTE and LAT
Organize, implement and supervise internal audits for TELPAS
Assist in data analysis for TEPAS, LAT and Spanish TAKS
Support Systemwide testing in BTC training for RPTE and LAT
Supervise personnel who help with testing training, testing audits and test reviews
Respond to phone calls and emails related to TOP, RPTE, LAT and TAKS

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
Minimum of three (3) years of Successful Classroom Teaching Experience
·Knowledge and Experience in the Level of Education where one is working
·Extensive Knowledge in Bilingual Education
·Knowledge of Personal Computers and Software
·Excellent Interpersonal, Organizational, and Technological Skills
·Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
