MM Oxford Study Services has run high quality, multinational, residential English Language courses at the Oxford University Colleges of Hertford and St Hugh’s, since 1980. Both Colleges offer an excellent environment for living and studying. Our aim is to provide all our students with an enjoyable and memorable language school experience. MM Oxford Study Services is accredited by the British Council and has a high return rate of students and staff.

Our summer schools offer 18-20 hours of English Language lessons per week, backed up by a full social and cultural activities programme designed to appeal to our multinational (36 Nationalities in 2008) students aged from 12-16 at St. Hugh’s and 16-25 at Hertford.

Our Easter courses offer 15-20 hours of English Language lessons per week, backed up by a full social and cultural activities programme designed to appeal to each specific group

We are currently recruiting EFL Teachers for Easter (28 March to 04 April and 11 April to 18 April) and summer 2009. Our summer courses commence from 04 July and contracts for between 2 to 8 weeks are available.

We have opportunities for applicants who are friendly, and have lots of energy, enthusiasm and patience. Candidates should be aware that a willingness to work as part of a team, an ability to accept responsibility and a good sense of humour are all considered essential.

Applications from those with previous summer school experience and young learner specialists or experience in teaching one or more of: drama, music, arts & crafts, IT or film making are particularly welcome.

We provide a full induction and support throughout the contract period.

Residential and Non-residential positions are available. Assistance with finding outside, self-catering accommodation is provided if required

Applicants should hold a first degree and as a minimum hold a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults(CELTA) or CELTYL (Young Learners) or Trinity (TESOL) and/or PGCE in English/Modern Languages with ELT/TESOL subsidiary. Applicants with Diploma qualifications are particularly welcome. Qualifications obtained through distance learning, one day or one week courses are not acceptable.

MMOSS abides by the CRB code of practice. Successful applicants are expected to apply for Criminal Records Bureau Enhanced Disclosure, at MMOSS expense, if not already completed.

Applicants should be eligible to live and work in the UK

Remuneration will range from £340 – £450 per week including holiday pay according to experience and qualifications, and is paid fortnightly.
