We are British Council-accredited, a member of English UK and an authorised Trinity College examination centre.

Stafford House is a member of the Cambridge Education Group and has been successfully running EFL programmes for fifty years. Stafford House Study Holidays has been organising residential summer schools throughout the UK for many years and will be running 19 centres this year. The CEG group includes: CATS Canterbury, an independent sixth form college established in 1952; Stafford House School of English, a year-round School of English; CATS Cambridge, offering A-level and University Foundation courses; and Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts, offering Foundation courses in Art & Design and Drama (in association with RADA).

We are looking for qualified teaching staff for our attractive centres throughout the UK based at either private boarding schools or university campuses. Teachers can expect full support at all times during the course from carefully recruited and attentive management staff, as well as a team at Head Office.

Teachers are provided with a teacher’s handbook, a syllabus carefully designed for summer programmes and extensive teaching resources. They will also receive paid preparation and administration time as part of the contract.

Qualifications
Teachers
We welcome applications from newly qualified CELTA or Trinity Cert. TESOL teachers and full support is provided via syllabus, materials and teacher development programme.

Essential requirements:
Cambridge RSA CELTA/Trinity Cert TESOL or equivalent (see our web site for full details)
First degree
Native or near-native competency in English

Senior Teacher: Over 3 years’ teaching experience
Summer school experience

Desirable additional requirements:

Cambridge/RSA DELTA or Trinity Diploma
Previous experience of working with children or teenagers
Previous supervisory experience
Previous residential experience

In exceptional cases, we may consider teachers with substantial teaching experience with children or teenagers.

Compensation
Teachers
Salaries start from £320.00 per week for non-residential teachers and from £278 per week for residential teachers (including full board and accommodation). Teachers with one or more full academic years of teaching experience also receive increments of between £10 and £20 per week. Returning staff receive generous loyalty bonuses.

Senior Teachers
Salaries start from £370 per week for non residential Senior Teachers, and from £320 per week for residential Senior Teachers (including full board and accommodation. Returning staff receive generous loyalty bonuses.
