Residential teachers from Saturday 04 July to Sunday 2 August 2009 [three or four weeks] Framlingham in Suffolk.

INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE HOLIDAYS are the summer schools of Colchester English Study Centre which is one of the largest family run EFL schools in the UK, founded in 1969 by Oxford University Press, so celebrating 40 years of quality language teaching in 2009. We are an independent, stand-alone organisation and we feel that we offer a personal and professional service to our clients, as well as looking after all the teachers who work for us. The ILH Centre managers are all both well-organised and experienced and have worked for us for many years ~ a good centre manager makes a summer teacher’s experience much more rewarding! We are seeking teachers to work from Saturday 04 July 2009 for 3 or 4 weeks in a residential Centre in the Ipswich area with learners aged 12-16. Our Centre is housed in an impressive location, offering excellent facilities and comfortable accommodation. Framlingham College can accommodate up to 240 students at any one time. The Centre is already full for summer 2009. Teachers teach 20 X 45 minute lessons each week to groups no greater than 14 in size. Published teaching materials are used with a clear programme of work. There are photocopying facilities, computers and an additional resource bank. Teachers are also involved in up to another 10 X 1.5 hours recreational activities over a 6 day period. House parents are employed to look after the students in the boarding houses. Contracts are clear and fair.

First degree
RSA CELTA or Trinity College [CERTESOL] [or qualifications that British Council accept in the UK]
YL certificate desirable
Interest/skills in sport, drama, music, arts and crafts are an advantage
Qualified first aiders are very welcome
Qualified pool life-guards are even more welcome!
