ABOUT THE SCHOOL:

Centrum Jezykowe CLAN is a language school located in three cities in the south-west of Poland: Gliwice, Zabrze and Tarnowskie Gory.

There are about 1300 students of various ages and levels learning in our school. The groups consist of up to ten students.

But undoubtedly, these are teachers who make our school so unique. At the moment we employ over 50 teachers who make a wonderful team of young, friendly and passionate people who enjoy talking, meeting and sharing experiences.

We believe that effective teaching must be a combination of various elements such as interesting and motivating lessons, good planning and goal setting, well-balanced dynamics in the classroom and plenty of productive and meaningful communication activities. As assuring such standards of teaching is of great importance to us we focus on careful staff recruitment and their further training. Such attitude enables our teachers to develop their potential and fully enjoy the lessons.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for native speakers of English who would like to face the adventure of teaching English to students of different ages and at different levels. Experience and appropriate qualifications are of course preferable but not obligatory. Above all, we think that personality and dedication make a good teacher. So if you are lively, open-minded and eager to learn new things you are the person we need.

Over the year and before the course starts you will receive plenty of professional support through regular contact and meetings with teacher trainers, series of workshops as well as the assistance of friendly staff.

Your job would be to teach alongside our Polish teachers in tandems  or have independent conversational classes. Your students will be mostly teenagers and adults  with at least elementary knowledge of English.

POSITIONS REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking for:

Native speaker of English to work as an English teacher, preferably EU citizen

An enthusiastic, energetic and open-minded person who enjoys contact with people

Previous experience in teaching not necessary but preferable

College degree preferable

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

A nine-month contract (from mid September to mid June)

Teacher training before the classes start and during the school year (regular teacher observations, workshops and feedback)

20-22 teaching hours a week on a full time contract

Salary based on abilities and experience from 2000 – 2500 plus rent covered by the school
