Arundel Language Institute has openings for English teachers in Hat-Yai, Thailand
May 10th, 2008 | Thailand
Immediate opening for an English teacher Arundel Language Institute (A.L.I.) is located in the south of Thailand in the city of Hat-Yai and was approved and accredited by the Thai Ministry of Education in 1996. We have a staff of 18 teachers, 9 of whom are expatriates from a number of different countries. Most of our teachers are teaching what we call the Semi-International Programme (S.I.P.). This programme was designed for primary aged Thai children’s needs. We have our own classrooms within local Thai primary schools, which are stocked with teaching materials and audio/visual equipment. We follow our own curriculum specifically designed to provide motivation to learners and steer away from the traditional rote-learning method widely used in Thai schools. Each of our expatriate teachers has a permanently assigned Thai assistant teacher. We also have a further motivational tool of providing a number of overseas scholarships to deserving children each year. Our destination so far has been Australia, the last group of 13 just got back on the 2nd April from an all-expenses-paid, one-week, study-tour to Perth. Our teachers agree that this is one of the main highlights of the year and they play an important role in selecting and screening suitable candidates from their own groups of students. We are offering: a one-year contract (renewable),
- Salary average is 30,000+ Baht per month,Â
- Paid OT,Â
- Work permit and teachers license provided by us,Â
- Your own full-time Thai assistant teacher,Â

- Medical and health insurance,Â
- Opportunity for promotion,Â
- Time on duty is only for the set number of teaching hours,Â
- 5-day working week,Â
