University position with attractive benefits (annual bonus, savings plan, pension, healthcare, five weeks paid holiday). Teachers teach 2-3 classes daily. Universidad del Mar is located between the towns of Puerto Angel and Zipolite on the southern coast of Oaxaca, Mexico.
Qualifications: A successful applicant will have a B.A. + CELTA/TEFL Certification or an M.A. in a relevant field and at least two years of classroom teaching experience, preferably overseas with young adult students. Experience teaching TOEFL is a plus.
Wage: Depending on credentials, most teachers earn $11,000 MXN per month net, which is a very competitive local salary.

Start date: Mid-Februauy, 2012, however, the new teacher must file locally with immigration authorities 3-4 weeks in advance.

University position with attractive benefits (annual bonus, savings plan, pension, healthcare, five weeks paid holiday) in rural southern Mexico. Teachers teach 3-4 classes daily. Huajuapan de León is a city of about 80,000 people situated in the beautiful state of Oaxaca.

Qualifications: Native-English speakers only, under 59 years old. Applicants must have a B.A. + CELTA/TEFL Certification or M.A. in a relevant field. We are looking for at least two years of EFL/ESL classroom teaching experience, preferably overseas with young adult students. Aside from providing quality instruction to students, the department focuses on both professional and community development and we are looking for motivated, self-starters who are willing to participate in projects outside of classes. Spanish ability and experience in TOEFL or Cambridge FCE exams is a plus.

Location: University/college campus in Huajuapan de Leon, Oaxaca
Wage: Approximately $11,000 – 13,500 MXN per month NET, depending on credentials, which is a very competitive local salary.

Paid French as Second Language Volunteers are recruited based on FSL Certification and/or teaching experience. In order to help teachers fund their personal costs, HELP! provides teachers with free accommodation in an apartment close to the school as well as a $4,000.00 (M.X.N. – Mexican pesos) living stipend per month. Volunteers teach real-life French that students can use in a variety of everyday situations.
The maximum number of students per class is 12. HELP! has two programs: Help! Kids (4 – 11 year old students) and Help! Teens and Adults (pre-teens to working professionals).
No Spanish is required to volunteer…What is required is dedication and enthusiasm. HELP! provides the basic curriculum and lesson plans to teach the fundamentals of the English language. Volunteers have the freedom to integrate activities, games and anything they think will help their students learn and develop.
Teachers will be in-class five hours a day, five days a week, Monday – Friday.
Teachers will be responsible for taking attendance and keeping grades for their students.
Volunteers are expected to be punctual, hard-working and dedicated. Teachers are expected to perform at a professional level — meaning, that the teacher must demonstrate that classes are thoughtfully prepared beforehand, there is good student retention, and good student-teacher relations are maintained.
