Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<br />
Job Summary:<br />
The primary responsibility of the incumbent is to: Carry out monitoring and supervision of Community-Based Education classes/schools, build principals and schoolteachersÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ capacity through conducting various training sessions as per the project training program and on the job assistance during the monitoring visits, collect school and training data and assist Project Admin Officer in data analysis and interpretation and report development, conduct baseline and technical surveys that will primarily be used for eligibility and feasibility purposes, conduct community mobilization and class/school establishment, assist Project Supervisor in developing Community-Based Education (CBE) project scope.<br />
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:<br />
Carries out classes and schools monitoring and supervision to make sure that classes/schools are functional in line with project objectives, strategy and plan and provide quality basic education to students<br />
1. Prepares school annual, monthly, weekly and daily monitoring and supervision plans;<br />
2. Undertakes regular visits to monitor and oversee classes/schools over all performance;<br />
3. Observes classroom teaching-learning process and activities and provides on the job training and assistance to the teachers;<br />
4. Checks school records (student, teacher attendance, inventory, etc.) and provides principals and teachers required and appropriate administrative assistance in timely manner;<br />
5. Undertakes school material need assessment during the monitoring trips and makes sure timely delivery of required materials to schools;<br />
6. Develops and helps principals and teachers conduct various tests and exams particularly mid term and final ones for students;<br />
7. Undertakes physical check of school building in order to ensure the existence of conducive physical learning environment;<br />
8. Makes sure that provincial education department receives a copy of the final exam result;<br />
9. Maintains good working relations with authorities.</p>
<p>Builds principals and teachersÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ capacity through conducting various training sessions as per the project training program and on the job assistance during monitoring visits so that they best meet their school management and teaching-learning responsibilities<br />
1. Undertakes principals and teachersÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ training need assessment;<br />
2. Prepares training plan for principals and schoolteachers;<br />
3. Develops and conducts in close collaboration with STTs training programs for Principals and teachers;<br />
4. Develops training aid materials;<br />
5. Conducts evaluation of training sessions;<br />
6. Assists Senior Teacher Trainers in developing training manuals.</p>
<p>Collects school and training data and assists Project Admin Officer in data analysis and interpretation and report development<br />
1. Collects and compiles school and training sessionsÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ related data;<br />
2. Assists Project Admin Officer in data analysis and interpretation;<br />
3. Submits accurate and proper monitoring, supervision, training, observation, and other<br />
4. Relevant reports to the project supervisor in timely manner;<br />
5. Assists Project Admin Officer in quantitative and narrative reportsÃ¢â‚¬â„¢<br />
6. Development;<br />
7. Assists Project Supervisor in the development of the final versions of various reports;<br />
8. Disseminates relevant information to principals and teachers.</p>
<p>Undertakes Community Mobilization, baseline and technical surveys, and classes/schoolsÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ establishment<br />
1. Develops baseline and technical surveys plan;<br />
2. Conducts baseline and technical surveys at intended communities/areas that will<br />
3. Primarily be used for eligibility and feasibility purposes;<br />
4. Identifies eligible communities for assistance;<br />
5. Conducts mobilization process of the target communities/areas;<br />
6. Establishes School Management Committees (SMT);<br />
7. Develops and conducts training program for SMT;<br />
8. Develops and conducts teacher competency tests;<br />
9. Develops and conducts studentsÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ placement test if required;<br />
10. Establishes classes/schools as per the project proposal.</p>
<p>Assists Project Supervisor in the development of project scope<br />
1. Assists project supervisor in setting AOP for CBE project;<br />
2. Assists project supervisor in developing IOPs in the light of AOP;<br />
3. Assists project supervisor in developing project implementation and action plans;<br />
4. Assists project supervisor in developing project operation budget;<br />
5. Assists project supervisor in the development of reports;<br />
6. Helps project supervisor better meet her/his responsibility of assisting PM<br />
7. In developing project proposals.<br />

Qualifications</p>
<p>EDUCATION: At least university graduate in teaching/training or other relevant trades (graduate of teacher training college is acceptable).</p>
<p>WORK EXPERIENCE: At least three years working experience in teacher training, preferably with an international organization.</p>
<p>SKILLS: Very good training skills, good communication skills in national languages and fair level of written and spoken English.</p>
<p>LANGUAGES: Fluency in written and spoken Dari and Pushto languages, English will be an advantage.</p>
<p>GENERAL: Enthusiasm to the job, gender sensitivity, willingness to travel as per the project requirements, favoring education and development.</p>

<p>IRC Afghanistan Education Program aims to enable communities to provide appropriate and quality education for their children through capacity building of teachers and support to community based schools. Specifically this program provides education opportunities for approximately 14,000 children in 150 villages in Logar, Gardez, Kabul and Nangahar provinces with a focus on the promotion of female education and female teacher training. IRC Education will begin in Heart for this time this year. Program activities include teacher training in subjects, teaching methodologies, and psychosocial approaches as well as material support to teachers, schools and students.</p>
<p>This is a full-time position with occasional travel required within the Provinces. The Master Teacher Trainer will train all Teacher Trainers in one province on all ongoing and new teacher training seminars. At times, the Master Teacher Trainer will go into the field to supervise and provide feedback to all Teacher Trainers as they are training teachers and other educators. The Master Teacher Trainer will work closely with Training Team Leader in implanting ongoing training systems in province, like demonstration lessons, feedback, mock sessions, etc. The Master Teacher Trainer will provide feedback to Training Team Leader on training system and new training seminars. Education staff will work with closely with communities regardless of ethnicity.</p>
<p>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<br />
Specific Duties:<br />
1.Implement system of ongoing professional teacher training, including demonstration lessons, feedback, mock sessions.<br />
2. Travel to the field to observe Teacher Trainers and provide feedback.<br />
3. Monitor, evaluate, and provide goals for improvement for all Teacher Trainers. Using impact tools for teaching and learning, measure implementation of activities and provide suggestions for improvement if needed.<br />
4. Assist Training Team Leader in creating new teacher training seminars in accord with education strategy and under supervision of Education Technical Advisor and Education Coordinator.<br />
5. Train Teacher Trainers in new teacher training seminars.<br />
6. Provide feedback to Training Team Leader about training system and various aspects of new training seminars.<br />
7. Provide schedule of activities and training plans to Education Manager.<br />
8. Foster a positive and productive professional work environment.<br />
Administrative Duties<br />
1. Provide reports of ongoing training activities to Education Manager and Training Team Leader.<br />
2. Coordination<br />
3. Coordinate with Training Team Leader and other provincial Master Teacher Trainers.<br />
4. Coordinate with Teacher Trainers on feedback from new training seminars and training systems.<br />

1. Conduct English language sessions according to the curricula.</p>
<p>2. Train the ministry staff.</p>
<p>3. Take part in grading students using testing methods that conform to ones already used with Cubes, to make for continuity and ease of comparison.</p>
<p>4. Carryout regular progress tests, with formal tests 2 times per month or as requested by the training manager.</p>

<p>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<br />
The Training and Language Facilitator will be responsible for the timely and accurate written translations of short texts, training materials, educational articles and other written documents of the project on a regular basis. The post holders will assist in the design, writing, organization and facilitation of training and mentoring events. The Training and Language Facilitator is expected to:</p>
<p>1. Read English, Dari or Pashto versions of all materials to ensure complete understanding of texts and confer with colleagues before initiating written translations.</p>
<p>2. Translate materials efficiently and accurately to meet stringent reviews and deadlines.</p>
<p>3. Assist in the design, writing and translation of training materials.</p>
<p>4. Assist in the organization and facilitation of training and mentoring events.</p>
<p>5. Review and give feedback on documents sent by the institutes.</p>
<p>6. Meet regularly with project team members to coordinate activities and update progress.</p>
<p>7. Maintain close, friendly and professional relations with the sixteen teacher training institutes.</p>
<p>8. Travel widely within Afghanistan to conduct training event and mentoring visits to the institutes.</p>

<p>AWRC is a woman local non-government organization established in 1989, since its establishment it has been serving Afghan women through a variety of projects targeting the most vulnerable women in need of support. The projects targeting women through AWRC Kabul and Peshawar office has included: income generation and marketing, education especially nonformal education (adult literacy), health projects (nutrition and health education), capacity building and vocational training (office management and computer training), rights awareness and civic education.</p>
<p>Currently AWRC is serving Afghan women through eight community based resource centers in Kabul, Kapisa, Parwan, Laghman and Jalalabad provinces. Through these centers a variety of projects are running, which include income generation, marketing, literacy and health education, capacity building, rights awareness and civic education.<br />
AWRC is seeking support of DAI/LGCD for establishment of English Language Learning Center in Alishang district, Laghman province for younger generation of the community in two separate sessions, morning and evening. The project will focus on improvement of English knowledge of the learner in order to enable them to be self-reliant as it is the key of the science which is moving up dramatically.</p>
<p>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<br />
1. To conduct English classes in various levels, six days in a week;</p>
<p>2. To make monthly work plan;</p>
<p>3. To prepare, outline and a complete training material for a particular level;</p>
<p>4. To monitor studentsÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ progress and solve problems on a timely basis;</p>
<p>5. To prepare various kinds of academic materials for students;</p>
<p>6. To prepare tests quizzes and supplementary materials;</p>
<p>7. To arrange debate and speech competitions on regular basics;</p>
<p>8. To prepare, administer and mark exit tests for students who complete training in a particular level;</p>
<p>9. To maintain enrollment and attendance records of students;</p>
<p>10. To report any problems or needs to the center supervisor, promptly, to ensure provision of quality instruction for students;</p>
<p>11. To attend meetings;</p>
<p>12. To perform any other task assigned by supervisor.<br />

Qualifications 1. Graduated from 12th grade ,(A University degree is preferred).</p>
<p>2. Graduated from English Language Course.</p>
<p>3. Minimum of one years of teaching experience.</p>
<p>4. Fluency in the two main Afghan languages, Pashto, Dari &amp; English (writing, speaking and comprehension)</p>
<p>5. Must be of a good and respectful character.</p>
<p>6. Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.<br />
