This is the first month/ probationary rate for new teachers. It will increase over the following 3 months up to a maximum of $NT 60,000. The amount of increase will be based on the teacher’s performance, enthusiasm and flexibility. New teachers will be paid a monthly salary starting after the first week of training. New teachers will not be paid for this initial week of training).

2.2.1 The salary is for K class: 5.5 hours per day, Monday through to Friday. (usually 9:00 to 16:20 with a lunch break from 12:00-13:50).

2.2.2 Teachers will have to take the E class(es) assigned to them by the school. (usually 16:30-18:00, Monday to Friday or Monday, Wednesday and Friday.)

2.2.3 Overtime (after 16:30) and E class pay is NT$per hour taught.

2.2.4 Extra pay: A teacher who has 2K or 2E classes can get the extra pay by the amount of students in those classes. NT$100 per students.

2.2.5 There will be additional activities for each class every semester. The demonstration lessons for all K classes and E classes will usually be held in the evening. The first two evenings that you do your demo’s (one for K and one for E) will be done without compensation. If a third evening is necessary, because teachers have more than one K or E class, that evening will be paid at the over time rate.
