2.0 JOB SUMMARY To provide students with a solid foundation in the English language, and to help them develop the language skills to prepare them for living and studying in the United Kingdom.

3.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • To take an active part in the activities of the School in the general area of teaching English as a foreign language supporting that with new initiatives in the field
• Support the teaching mission of the School in the breadth of the courses offered, especially in preparing students for further study in a range of subjects in the English language in England.
• Play an appropriate role in the administration of the Program, and enhance the reputation of City University and SNS partnership within Saudi Arabia and Internationally
• Use a range of monitoring and evaluation techniques to assess and enhance course delivery and contribute to quality assurance and enhancement
• Assist as appropriate with student recruitment to City University SNS partnership
• Performs other tasks and duties within the scope of the knowledge, skills, and experience required for the job, as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

• Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
o English language teaching
o Language Engineering
o Area Studies
o Cross-Cultural communication
• Ability to communicate with external peer groups, to teach undergraduate students and engage in scholarship in the field.
• Ability to network successfully with various external organizations, to support the work of City University SNS Partnership.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University
