recruit English language teachers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key roles:

• Conduct classroom language training

• Develop new courses and update existing ones – either

individually or within a team, with the approval and guidance of

the Head of Media Lingua Center (MLC)

• Participate with a team of colleagues to analyze and identify

client training needs and then make recommendations to the Head of

the MLC

• Prepare trainees’ evaluation reports at the end of each course

• Devise and mark mid-term and final course exams.

• Proctor mid-term and final exams as well as placement and TOEFL

tests when assigned.

• Present recommendations to the Head of MLC regarding improvement

and development of course syllabi and curricula

• Participate actively in weekly meetings of the MLC

• Be innovative in using various trainers’resources

PROFILE:

Essential

• BA in TESOL, TEFL, TESL, Applied Linguistics, or equivalent e.g.

B.Ed

• A Teaching qualification ( PGCE, TEFL DELTA or CELTA, Accredited

Diploma in TEFL / TESOL or equivalent.)

• Minimum of 3 years experience

• Interpersonal communication skills

• Energetic and enthusiastic

Preferred

• MA in TESOL, TEFL, TESL, or Applied Linguistics.

• Experience in Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL)

• Canadian Citizen Native speaker of English

• Experience in designing, developing, reviewing and teaching ESP

and Business English courses

• Middle East Experience

• Media and journalism background

• Ability to deliver training programs (short courses)

• Exposure to developing CALL materials and using CALL programs

• Between 26 to 55 years old
