Extreme Superior English Alliance is looking for qualified ESL/TEFL teachers for 2009. We will be hiring new teachers for January 1st, 2009.  Due to a new contract with a local university we will be needing extra teachers for both our private institute (with 350 students) and the university.  We only hire native English speakers with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification.  A strong understanding of grammar is important but a fun and outgoing personality is just as important.  Our owner and director is an American with a B.S. and M.A.in education and is TEFL certified.  We provide all materials and support for our teachers.  Our class sizes are small (4 to 15 students). Teachers teach 6 hours per day, M-F. Overtime is usually available if desired. The base pay starts at S/1300 (Soles) per month (about $430). Experienced teachers begin at S/1500 (about $500). Note that the average doctor in Arequipa only earns about $620 per month.  Rent is inexpensive and food is very cheap. Our teachers have no problem living on their salaries.  Family stays are often available and we will help you find a family if you so desire. Arequipa is a great place to live and work.  The city has about 1 million people, but feels more like a small town.  The weather is amazing, with an average daytime high (year around) of 70 degrees F (about 20 degree Celsius).  There are 320 days of sunshine and the evenings are always cool.  Come join the Extreme Team, you’ll be glad you did!
