Teach English in Peru

Preschool English Teachers are needed for 2009 School Year at I.E.P. Bilingüe Brilliant Star in Piura, Peru.

2-4 positions are available.

Description: Bilingüe Brilliant Star is a preschool in Piura, Peru that teaches English to children ages 2-5. Each teacher has a class of 10 students and teaches only in English. Teachers follow a set curriculum which is provided by the institution along with all necessary teaching materials. Teachers teach from 8a to 1p, Monday through Friday. Teachers can elect to stay one or both semesters.

2009 Dates: 1st semester, March 2 – July 24; 2nd semester, August 10 – December 18

Requirements: Teachers must have experience/education in early childhood education and/or teaching English, love of working with children, ability to work and live in a foreign country, open to different cultures and interest in learning more about the Peruvian culture.

Positions are unpaid but teachers receive free housing, 3 meals per day/7 days per week, and Spanish lessons 2 hours per day, 5 days per week at the private university (udep.edu.pe). ashley.pohlmann@gmail.com
