UNIVERSIDAD DE LA SIERRA JUAREZ

The Universidad de la Sierra Juárez, Oaxaca, is looking to employ a full time English Professor  (9-2 and 4  -7) starting mid May. Class contact: 3 to 4 hours daily. The rest is preparation / marking time.

We are located in the mountain town of Ixtlán de Juárez, pop 3000, some 59km (and hour´s car ride) from Oaxaca City. Although a small town, Ixtlán counts with all services. It´s a clean, safe and friendly place.

Requisites are:

Minimum of a B.A on any field; a relevant ELT certification (CELTA preferred); 2 years experience; basic knowledge of Spanish.

Note: The university does not cover the costs of a work visa, although it will facilitate all the pertinent paperwork. Current year-long FM-3’s (or work visas)  cost some US $ 180.  Please add to that some $ 50 in terms of document legalization and translations.
