Full-time English Teacher-Oaxaca, Mexico

Full-time, tenure-track positions available at a small university in southern Mexico. Universidad de la Cañada is located in Teotitlán de Flores Magón, Oaxaca in Mexico, one tour away from Tehuacan, Puebla city. It is a public institution offering four carrers: Informatics, engineerings in Food, Agroindustries and Pharmacobiology. English is taught as a second language to support the professional skills of each area. Our students receive 5 hours per week of English class. All of them are in general very basic beginners. The language department is still under construction so initiative is require to create materials and plan the courses.  Attractive local salary and benefits package, including medical insurance, offered. The university seeks EFL professors with a minimum one year teaching experience who have a B.A. plus CELTA (or equivalent) or an M.A. in a related field. Unfortunately, the university is only able to hire native English speakers. Start date beginning September 2008. Interested?
