Job Requirements

1.      Hold a 3 or 4 year Bachelors degree from a recognised university

2.      Be of native English speaker from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, U.K. & U.S.A. 

3.      Be available for a 12 month contract period overseas

Location: Maldives
Starting Date: Feb 2009
Salary: USD 1500 to 2000 per month
Living allowance: USD 300 plus accommodation
School hours:  8am to 3.30pm
Teaching hours: Maximum 25 hours per week (5 days a week)
Working days: Sun to Thurs (Fri and Sat is the weekend)
Number of current foreign teachers: About 20 foreign teachers
Accommodation: Shared and single room. School owns a 7 storey building with 30 rooms for our teachers. Each floor has a big hall and kitchenette
Flights: Airfare-will be reimbursed immediately upon arrival (guaranteed).After successful completion of contract, airfare home will be provided.
Length of Employment Contract: Two-year contracts preferred. A bonus can be agreed by both parties. Employment can be given for a year as well.
No of working days: 200 – Academic year is from Jan to Nov.
Holidays: Mid term holidays end of May, Year end holiday from mid Nov to mid Jan plus all public and government holidays
Healthcare: Medical insurance provided
