Location Information:

There are several jobs available on the island right now. The majority are in the affluent area of Jeju City, the biggest city on the island. Being a tourist destination, these positions place the successful applicant within minutes of the amenities including shopping centers, movie theatres, coffee shops, restaurants, and of course beaches. Jeju ESL takes special pride in choosing only the best schools with fully implemented curricula.

Job Details:

There are two types of jobs available on the island at present.

JEJU EPIK is currently looking for teachers to start ASAP. While most jobs require the applicant to begin the application process in advance, these positions offer an expedited application process, allowing the applicant to bring the necessary documents to Korea. These positions are public school placements. These are coveted jobs that will fill very quickly.

The Jeju private institues are hand-picked by Jeju ESL and all offer a fully implemented curriculum which reduces prep time considerably. Because Jeju ESL is located on the island, we are able to visit the schools personally and ensure that we only deal with the best. The private institutes offer evening hours, perfect for teachers with active social lives.

Work Term:

One year contract beginning April, May or June, depending on the position.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary ranges from 2.0-2.8 Million Won paid monthly, based on experience and position.

In addition, the successful applicants will receive:

Furnished apartment rent free for the duration of the contract

Roundtrip airfare

Medical Insurance and Pension contributions

All National and School Holidays paid vacation plus additional vacation (varies)

Completion Bonus equivalent to one month’s salary

Qualifications:

Successful applicants MUST have native level English proficiency (born in an English speaking country like Canada, USA, England, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand, or Australia) and have a 4-year University degree.
