Public Schools throughout GYEONGSANGNAMDO Provice – CHANGWON, JINJU & SACHEON

Description	:	Gyeongsangnamdo is the most southeastern province. There is an international airport & a KTX train (which only takes1hr & 2.5hrs to Seoul, respectively.) Changwon is the capital city of the province & Busan is close by. See here for further information : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gyeongsangnam-do. In terms of climate, it is one of the warmest places throughout the country. We have a contract direct with the Gyeongsangnamdo Office of Education in Changwon, so unlike EPIK – we would know the location that you would go to, the name of the school (see below) & be able to get other important information that is crucial to you.

Start date	:	APRIL 1ST, MAY 1ST & SEPTEMBER 1ST. All contracts last for 1 full year.
No. classes	:	22 classes per week. 1 elementary class = 40mins, 1 middle school class = 45mins & 1 high school class = 50mins.
Working times	:	8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. No weekends.

Pay	:	2.1m to 2.95m won. It depends on your resume, whether you desire a city or countryside location & also if you teach in more than 1 school (with the total number of classes at 22 per week split between them.)
Tax	:	In accordance with Korean Tax laws. American & South African citizens are able to become tax exempt for 2 years. Other countries can too, but you must pay income tax in your home country if you supply the required residency certificate, therefore making it better to pay tax in South Korea. Canadian & Irish citizens cannot become tax exempt in South Korea.
Pay day	:	25th of each month, no exception.
Settlement allowance	:	300,000 won onetime payment.
Provincial allowance	:	100,000 won per month extra.
Multiple school allowance	:	100,000 to 150,000 won per month extra.
Vacation	:	18 working days paid days.
National holidays	:	Yes & paid for.
Flights	:	1,300,000won provided for inbound flight & 1,300,000won provided for outbound flight. If your flight is less, you save the difference!
Housing	:	Single, furnished, rent-free provided.
Medical	:	50% contributed by your employer, 50% contributed by you.
Pension	:	50% contributed by your employer, 50% contributed by you. American & Canadian teachers can get 100% back at the end of the employment contract.
Sick leave	:	11 working paid days.
Special leave	:	7 calendar days unpaid.
Severance pay	:	Equal to one month’s pay, provided at the completion of the employment contract.
Other benefits	:	Training provided, Korean co-teacher provided

Description	:	Chungnam is located on the westside of the country, beneath the Gyeonggido province. It is one of the most beautiful provinces throughout the entire country. Just see the pictures below! Korean Horizons has successfully placed many teachers throughout this area for the last 3 years. We can provide email references of current teachers there right now who can provide you with a positive response to any question that you may have. Our company is the only accredited recruitment company working with this education office. The only other way to get public schools here are through EPIK. With us, we can provide you with your preferences & information about your school (see below.) We have a very stong business relationship with the education officers, who provide a great network of support to all the teachers within their schools.
