The Makassar International School (MIS) requires experienced and motivated teachers for English, maths, science and all-subjects to join our small and friendly team.

We are a Cambridge-accredited international school providing quality English-medium general K-12 education to a close-knit student body of varying nationalities and backgrounds. Our small classes and eclectic timetable and curricula provide opportunities for professional development in a wide range of new teaching contexts and styles in a comfortable setting.

A monthly salary of $US 1000 net

Makassar is a thriving coastal town with an exciting mix of the modern and the traditional, a picturesque sea-front and famed for its maritime history and great sea-food. Our working week of Monday-Friday 8am-4 pm, free weekends and frequent term breaks provide a great chance to experience the wonders of both Sulawesi and Indonesia, from the mountains of Toraja and the diving in Manado to the beaches of Bali (only 1 hour flight away).

Our minimum requirement is a bachelor degree and a recognized TEFL- cert qualification. A state-school teaching certificate (B.ed, PGCE etc) would be a definite advantage.
