Richmond Education Center is a well-established language school located in Jambi – Sumatra and has been opened for over 7 years. We are currently seeking qualified native teachers to join our staffs on a one-year renewable contract.

Due to the continual growth of our school, teaching positions are regularly being opened. We are looking for candidates who have completed a TEFL, TESOL or CELTA certificate course that included teaching practice. We prefer applicants to have at least one year experience, although we may waive this requirement for applicants who show clear promise. We offer excellent teacher support and opportunities for career development.

We offer a wide range of courses, including General English, Business English, Children’s courses (6-14), TOEFL Preparation, Conversation, In-House Corporate Training and one-to-one tutoring.

Our school is fully equipped with computer lab, video equipment and constantly updated supplementary material. You will find yourself enjoy the school environment because our staff are friendly, helpful and like one big family.

Set on the banks of the Batanghari River, the longest river in Indonesia, and surrounded by jungle, Jambi has been an important centre for maritime trade since the 7^th century. The famous Batik clothing industry is based here and you can still see these traditional clothes being painted in the artists’ homes. Muaro Jambi, an ancient Hindu-Buddhist temple, is the largest archeological complex in Sumatra and is situated just a few kilometers downriver. Jambi is only one-hour flight to Jakarta, or Singapore.

Richmond Education Center is located downtown and surrounded by Hotels, Restaurants, a Swimming pool/Water Park, Supermarkets, Banks, and many other stores.  It is easy to travel from one place to another place.

QUALIFICATION:

We require candidates to be a native speakers and have a TEFL Certificate (CELTA, TESOL, Trinity or equivalent) or suitable experience and background. A love of teaching, enthusiasm and a good sense of humor are essential.

Due to Indonesian Immigration regulations, we can only accept passport holders of the following nationalities:

USA, Australia, U.K., Canada, New Zealand.

COMPENSATION:

• Round Trip Airfare  (50% reimbursed at the end of 9 months and the remainder at the end of the contract.)
