About Sulawesi… …an eccentrically shaped island containing countless spectacular scenic areas for unforgettable vacations, with both sea and mountain sports available. The pleasant mountain resort of Malino, the picturesque beach community of Tanjung Bira and the famous Torajalands are all within easy reach. And Bali/Lombok, Surabaya and Manado are only an hour’s flight away. About EF Makassar… …a school of around 350 students, with facilities (including CALL) and a team of around 8 native speaker teachers running general English courses for young learners, teenagers and adults. We are heavily guided by communicative, interactive and student-centered teaching approaches. Ex pat staff coordinate themselves in a friendly egalitarian manner, lending a closely-knit team feel to the every-day running. …an emphasis is put on high standards for our students and on teacher support and development, with regular staff programs and workshops. DoS requirements … · A reputable TEFL cert (if not DELTA), a degree and at least 2 years’ teaching experience.· Some experience in a management or leadership role preferred. · The confidence and ability to provide on going teacher development in the form of inducting new teachers, giving workshops, teacher observations and feedback. · Experience of Southeast Asia or of living in a developing country is a big advantage. Failing this, an evident level of cultural adaptability, patience and good humour are required to face the challenges of life in a developing country a long way from home.
