To ensure that documents edited at Editage meet the language standards of top international journals

 Profile

?         Min. 10 years of editorial experience in the field of academic publishing

?         Working knowledge of conventions, practices and trends across all academic fields

?         Should preferably have worked with an international journal reputed for its quality of scientific language and research

?         Preferably would have acted as a peer reviewer or has been part of an article/research review committee.

  Other attributes

?         In-depth/insider perspective on the role of language in academic publishing and on

?         trends and practices in academic editing

?         Ability to pass on this knowledge to editors through training programs/sessions

?         Should be able to streamline/build training and quality systems to ensure that role objective is met

 Roles and responsibilities

?         Critique existing services and quality and training systems and align them to requirements of top international journals

?         Assist in service-level enhancements and in conceptualizing and launching new services

?         Drive/deliver training to meet the objective of the role

?         Assist in educating clients on the role of language in scientific publishing
