The leading bilingual primary school in Huludao city, Liaoning province is looking to recruit foreign teachers for the semester starting September 2008.
This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to find well-paid work in a relatively small and traditional coastal Chinese city. Huludao is known within China for its popular swimming beaches and is located a few hundred kilometres northeast of Beijing.

Depending on experience and qualifications, the basic salary is 5000 - 6000 RMB per month for 15 hours a week (20 teaching periods). Overtime is readily available and paid at a rate of 70 RMB per class. Classes will generally be in the morning or early afternoon, weekdays only.

Benefits of the contract include paid return airfare (up to 6000RMB) for 12 month contract or one-way airfare for a 6 month contract (max 3000RMB). A furnished private apartment close to the school and to the city center is provided . This includes all the usual appliances and amenities: kitchen, bathroom with Western toilet, 1 or 2 bedrooms , computer with broadband Internet, TV, washing machine, stove, e.t.c
A travelling bonus of 2500 RMB is awarded for completing a 12 month contract, and the winter holiday is fully paid. School lunches are free.

The school is one of the flagship primary schools in Liaoning province and has maintained an extremely successful foreign teacher program for over five years. The english levels of the students (aged between 6 and 14) are therefore well above average. All classes are supported with a Chinese assistant who is responsible for discipline and translation.

For this position, only native English speakers from the UK, US, Canada, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand can be accepted. You must have a university degree, teaching experience is a desirable bonus. The school is fully authorised to directly provide a working(Z) visa and residence permit.
