Teach English - Henan Province, PRC, Zhengzhou City, China | ESL TEFL Job

You must already be in the People’s Republic of China to apply for this position as our organization will not be able to obtain a visa for you until after the Olympic Games if you are not already in China.

This offer of employment is suitable only for a native English speaker from New Zealand, Australia, England, The United States or Canada (not Quebec or Newfoundland).

You will be required to teach twelve hours per week (six classes). Classes are a fifty minute hour. Your salary will be $5,000 RMB per month. Housing is provided and is suitable for a single person. A suite within a three star international hotel which belongs to the college will be provided for your use. Cooking facilities are included as this contract does not include food.

Overtime starts at $80 RMB per hour for teachers who have been in China for less than one academic year, $90 per hour for teachers who have been in China for more than one but less than two academic years and $100 RMB per hour for teachers who have been in China for more than two academic years. For teachers who have been in China for at least two calendar years (solid years, January – December) without having left the country, overtime is available at $120 RMB per hour. Overtime hours will be worked in partner schools and overtime is optional.

You will be treated very well. You can work as many paid hours as you would like or as few paid hours as you would like. This position is for teaching spoken English classes only to first and second year college English majors.

Non-native speakers or individuals from nations not listed above need not apply. If you haven’t secured a contract for September, this is a very good opportunity for you.
