Teach English - Tianjin, China | ESL TEFL Job

EF English First is looking for a Director of Studies for its growing kid’s school in Tianjin, China.

The DOS position will be responsible for:

• Recruiting, training, and managing the teaching team

• Managing the academic program

• Supporting the sales team

• Controlling the teaching schedule

Qualification:

Successful DOS candidates will ideally have:

• Strong people skills, a flexible working style and creativity

• A wide range of teaching experience

• People management experience

• China experience

• A good understanding of TEFL methodology

• Suitable TEFL qualifications

• A relevant university degree

• Used a wide range of text books and resources

And be:

• A native English speaker

• An excellent TEFL teacher

• Very organized

• Extremely energetic and hardworking

• A creative problem solver

• Flexible in duties and hours worked

• Able to build strong relationships with teachers, administrative staff and customers

• Previous DOS experience is preferred but not essential.

Compensation:

In return we offer:

• Salary: 10,000 – 13,000rmb (net) per month depending on experience

• Accommodation: 3000rmb (net) allowance per month

• Travel: 9000rmb (net) per year

• Bonus: contract completion bonus – one month salary (net)

•15 days paid annual leave plus 12 days paid public holidays

• Free Health Insurance

Tianjin is located 85 miles east of Beijing, near the coast. The capital can be reached in half an hour by fast train. As China’s third largest city with a population of over 10 million people, Tianjin has a rich history and has witnessed many important events since it was given its name in 1404. Evidence of its history is still visible in the old British and Italian concessions, the port and European architectures.

English First Tianjin stands as a proud and well established member of the global EF community. Our first school opened in 2001 and since then we’ve been growing rapidly. We now have 5 schools and a successful Corporate Language Training Unit (CLT) with repeated contracts from multinational companies such as Siemens, Proctor & Gamble, Airbus and GSK to name but a few.

Our English language programs cater to a diverse range of Chinese learners and we currently have over 3000 students studying with us in Tianjin. We offer curriculum for kindergarten, primary school and high school students, and also deliver comprehensive adult courses for both general and business English
