Teach English - China | ESL TEFL Job

Skyline Language School in Zhongshan is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to meet the demands of our business and private customers.  We are offering a 1 year contract, starting in February/March 2009.

Skyline’s mission is ‘quality education transforming lives’.  We are a small training centre, but are leaders in the provision of business and hotel English within our area, and also teach school students, local English teachers and other individuals within the city.  We offer our customers top quality English training, tailored to meet their specific needs.

The role:

A maximum of 12 teaching hours per week, to be completed over no more than 6 days per week.  In addition, the teacher will attend regular meetings and spend 20 hours per week in the office to prepare teaching plans and develop curriculum.

The person we are seeking will:

• Have a degree and an ESL qualification
• Be a native English speaker with a neutral accent
• Have enthusiasm and energy
• Work well in team situations
• Take ownership of the achievement of Skyline’s goals.

It will be an advantage if applicants have:

• ESL teaching experience
• A background in business or tourism
• An education background
• Previous experience living and working cross-culturally.

The package includes:

• RMB 5000 per month (after an initial 3 month probation period during which the salary will be RMB 4000 per month)
• Fully-furnished (possibly shared) accommodation.
• All costs related to gaining visas.
