Sponsored by the Chilean Ministry of Education and the United Nations Development Program-Chile, the English Opens Doors Program seeks highly motivated volunteers to teach English this summer in public schools throughout Chile.

EOD offers two completely fee FREE ten-week summer programs. Both programs include the following package:

• Accommodations and meals with a host family.
• A monthly stipend of CLP 85.000 (approximately USD$136 as of
December 2008).
• All-expense paid orientation in Santiago, which includes TEFL
workshops, information about the Chilean educational system,
a cultural orientation, Spanish lessons, and cultural activities.
• All-expense paid regional orientation
• Airport transfer fees to designated accommodations for Santiago
orientation applicable to volunteers who arrive on official program
start dates.
• Round-trip transportation from Santiago to the regional placement
site.
• E-blended Spanish Course (online Link Chile e-learning Spanish)
• Classroom Materials
• Ongoing teaching support.
• Program certification by the Chilean Ministry of Education.

The Summer I Program begins May 23rd and ends August 8th. The Summer II Program begins June 13th and ends August 22nd.

Application deadlines are March 23rd and April 13th respectively.

Summer Programs are the perfect way for new TEFL teachers to gain valuable experience and break into the field, as well as for experienced teachers to make a meaningful contribution to the world over summer break.

English Opens Doors is also recruiting for longterm six month and four month teaching positions beginning in May and July.
