WorldTeach is a non-profit, non-governmental organization which provides opportunities for individuals to make a meaningful contribution to international education by living and working as volunteer teachers in developing countries. WorldTeach is based at the Center for International Development at Harvard University and has been training, placing, and supporting volunteers in developing countries since 1986.

We currently offer year-long, summer, and six-month programs in locations throughout the world.

Year-long programs: American Samoa, Bangladesh, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guyana, Kenya, Namibia, the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, Rwanda and Thailand.

Semester-long programs: Chile Ministry Semester.

Summer Programs: Bulgaria, China, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Namibia, Poland and South Africa.

Most volunteers teach English and in some countries, volunteers may also teach math, science, computer skills and HIV/AIDS awareness. Volunteers work as full-time teachers in their placement countries, as employees of their host schools or sponsoring institutions.  Most volunteers live with a host family or on the school campus, and participate fully in the life of their host communities.
