English Teacher Vacancy in Nanning, China

 Vacancy:  Full-time English Teacher / DOS (Director of Study)

WEI is Guangxi’s leading provider of foreign language training, and currently has schools in three locations. One is in the provincial capital Nanning, host to the annual ASEAN expo; one is in Liuzhou, the ‘Dragon City’, famed for its breathtaking karst mountain scenery; and the other is in Guilin, a famous historic and cultural city with the breathtaking KARST mountain scenery.

We teach a variety of courses at our institutes, including general English, IELTS preparation, BEC (Business English Certificate) preparation and young learners (5-16). Our students are predominantly adults, and some younger learners. We use both foreign and domestic materials, such as ‘Cutting Edge’ and ‘New Headway’. Most teaching is done in our schools, although we occasionally require our teachers to go to companies or state schools to teach. Contact hours – 25 per week, with at least a day and a half off each week. Max class size = 15.

We are currently seeking teachers and DOS to work at our Guilin, Liuzhou, and Nanning schools on a full-time one year contract starting ASAP. Experience of teaching IELTS is preferred.

Compensation package includes:

1) Return airfare for applicants outside China.

2) Accommodation, visa and health insurance.

3) Chinese lessons.

4) Generous local salary, dependent on experience and qualifications. (RMB 6000-8000)

5) Paid holiday.

6) Help with setting up (opening bank accounts etc).

Qualifications:

1) University degree and recognized TEFL qualification.

2) Teaching experience preferred but not essential.

3) Native speaker .
